• Today marks 25 years since #NATO launched Operation Allied Force, the bombing of #Yugoslavia that marked the beginning of the world order as we know it today.

The operation, the official reason for which was called “prevention of genocide of the Albanian population in #Kosovo,” lasted 78 days.

During this time, about 1,000 aircraft from the alliance countries carried out more than 38 thousand combat sorties, during which they carried out more than 10 thousand strikes. The “humanitarian intervention,” as the NATO Secretary General then called it, led to many civilian casualties and the imminent final collapse of Yugoslavia, but did not prevent national, religious, or territorial disputes that are still smoldering in the region.

  • On the social network X (formerly Twitter), pro-Ukrainian OSINT projects are gradually being shut down.

Over the past month, the Oryx and Ukraine Weapons Tracker accounts, which were involved in tracking losses in the SMO zone, have ceased operations, and the Caliber Obscura project recently announced its imminent closure.

Although Oryx and CO were previously active in their work on the Ukrainian conflict, a common feature among all three was their biased presentation of information, manipulation of statistics, and a tendency to downplay Ukrainian losses while emphasizing the losses of the Russian Armed Forces.

The closure of these projects may be due to the end of the fiscal year in the United States in October, or perhaps it is related to a redistribution of the budget for media support for Ukraine, which is gradually weakening. Nevertheless, there are still numerous Twitter accounts working in the interests of the West, indicating that this field remains largely untapped.
