#Medvedev warns #Russia will pull no punches with #France in response to #Macron

Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev has warned that Russia will also act without restraint toward France, after French President Emmanuel Macron refused to honor any red lines when it comes to supporting Ukraine. Macron said in a recent meeting that "there are no more red lines, there are no more limits" in terms of providing support to Ukraine, according to Le Monde. In a post on X, Medvedev quoted these words and responded, "Then it means there are no more red lines for Russia with respect to France."

He also wrote, "In hostem omina licita," a Latin phrase that can roughly be translated as "everything is legal if it is done to an enemy."

Macron said the phrase at a meeting with leaders of other French parties, which aimed to discuss the situation around Ukraine.
