Three years after the Oct 7 massacre, Israel still has not clearly named the enemy behind the attack

The enemy was not merely Hamas, Qatar or the Islamic Republic of Iran. Hamas is one terrorist organization produced by a much broader threat: jihadist ideology, a worldview that glorifies violence, domination and the persecution of those who refuse to submit.

October 7 was not only a warning to Israel. It was a warning to the entire freedom-loving world.

Look at the unrest spreading across France and other parts of Europe. Police are attacked, property is burned and foreign flags are waved, yet Western leaders continue treating each eruption as an isolated social problem.

They condemn vague “extremism” while refusing to confront the ideology exploiting their freedom, tolerance and open societies.
Every refusal to name the threat empowers it.
