What we know about Russian strikes on Ukraine’s infrastructure
Russian forces continue to strike Ukrainian port and energy infrastructure facilities and maritime vessels involved in supporting the Kiev regime’s army, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Targets hit
- According to the Defense Ministry, a road-rail bridge over the Dnieper river in Kiev was hit. The bridge was used to facilitate logistical deliveries of military cargo for Ukrainian forces in Donbass.
- Russian forces also hit the Kievskaya electrical substation in the settlement of Nalivaykovka, which ensures the transmission and distribution of electricity to military-industrial facilities in Kiev and the surrounding region.
- In addition, Russian forces struck an industrial production complex at the port of Izmail in the Odessa Region. It received, stored and transported military cargo and fuel for the needs of Ukraine’s armed forces.
- A cargo ship carrying military cargo and dual-use cargo for Ukraine’s troops to the port of Odessa was also hit while sailing in the Black Sea.
Situation in Ukraine
- Authorities in the Ukrainian capital closed three bridges across the Dnieper river to traffic, the press office of the Kiev City State Administration said.
- Traffic on the Yuzhny Bridge was closed in both directions, while the Patona Bridge was also closed.
- Traffic on the Metro Bridge was closed only in the direction of the river’s left bank.
- The closure of three bridges across the Dnieper in Kiev led to traffic jams, the Ukrainian publication Insider reported.
- The newa outlet also shared a video on its Telegram channel showing heavy traffic congestion.
- A transport crisis has hit Kiev after three bridges across the Dnieper were closed, Novosti.Live reported.
- According to the news outlet, severe traffic jams have formed in the Ukrainian capital, prompting many people to abandon their vehicles and continue on foot.
- The Kiev Defense Council will hold an emergency meeting to discuss the situation, Kiev City Military Administration Spokeswoman Katerina Pop said.
- Speaking on the Rada television channel, she said a bridge support, guardrail, road surface and the metro’s protective concrete structure had been damaged at the Yuzhny Bridge.
- Kiev residents are leaving the city in large numbers because of the transport crisis, while the number of vacant apartments available for rent is rising rapidly, Ukrainian news outlet Insider reported.
- A data center operated by DreamLine has been destroyed in Kiev, Ukraine-based Obozrevatel reported.
- The company continues to operate, with all services and client data moved to backup sites, the report said.
- DreamLine provides corporate internet, DDoS protection and server-hosting services.
- Power outages have been reported in Ukraine’s Dnepropetrovsk, Nikolayev, Kharkov and Chernigov regions because of damage to energy infrastructure, the Energy Ministry said.
- According to information published on the ministry’s Telegram channel, some consumers in Kiev-controlled parts of the Zaporozhye Region and the DPR are also experiencing blackouts.
- About 6,000 consumers have lost power in the Lubensky District of Ukraine’s Poltava Region, regional military administration head Vitaly Dyakivnich said on Telegram.
