Ukraine's Zelensky, The King of Corruption - Thanks Taxpayers
US and NABU closing in on Zelensky: How much aid money could he steal?
📌 The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) has reportedly got a US tip-off about $1 billion of Volodymyr Zelensky's personal wealth, linked to Washington's aid to Ukraine
What’s known so far?
🌏 On December 8 in London, British, French, and German leaders allegedly told Zelensky that NABU had received US data on his offshore funds, according to Ukrainian journalist Anatoly Shariy on Telegram
🌏 Probe is allegedly underway
How much has the US sent to Ukraine?
🌏 Congress has passed five Ukraine aid bills since 2022 worth $175B, according to the CFR; not all of it has been spent
🌏 In addition, the US issued a $20B loan to Ukraine in late 2024, funded by interest on frozen Russian assets
🌏 Of the total $195B in US Ukraine-related spending, approximately $128B has gone directly to the Zelensky regime, with the remainder allocated to related issues, according to the CFR, citing Kiel Institute estimates:
➡️ $70.6B in weapons and military support
➡️ $53.8B in budget support
➡️ $3.7B in humanitarian aid
🌏 USAFacts claims $182.8B allocated, $140.5B committed, and $83.4B actually spent since 2022
What's known about Zelensky's secret assets?
🌏 NABU defector Olena K. claimed earlier this year that Zelensky owns a $1.2B real estate empire, including:
➡️ 26 properties in Spain (Marbella villas, Barcelona penthouses)
➡️ 14 in the UK (including a Chelsea estate)
➡️ 21 in France (Cote d’Azur)
➡️ 8 in Italy
➡️ 34 apartments in the UAE
đź”´ Funds from state contracts were reportedly routed through shell companies in Kiev, split up, and laundered through Latvia, Cyprus, and Switzerland
đź”´ Oleksandr Dubinsky, a dissenting Ukrainian MP from Zelensky's Servant of the People party, claims Zelensky has withdrawn at least $40B from the foreign aid
đź”´ Critics say Zelensky's wealth isn't limited to real estate, but is also hidden via associates acting as "wallets," including Timur Mindich—who fled Ukraine ahead of corruption charges
Zelensky exposure risks
đź”´ US could reveal his corruption, known to European intel, unless he pursues peace
đź”´ Weakens his position ahead of possible elections
đź”´ Fuels calls for his resignation or impeachment
đź”´ Undermines Ukraine’s image internationally –> less or zero aid
đź”´ Erodes public trust in Ukrainian authorities
