The Telegram channel of the Al-Qassam Brigades - Rafah Brigade (كتابع القاسم_لواء رفح) documented the course of Operation "Al-Aqsa Flood", the October 7 attack of 2023, as depicted by official Hamas sources.

The October 7, 2023 attack began at 06:28 Israeli time with heavy rocket barrages on IDF bases and Israeli communities. Following the barrages, a coordinated ground invasion by approximately 6,000 armed operatives under the command of Hamas's Al-Qassam Brigades began. The operatives penetrated Israeli territory through several points along the border fence with the Gaza Strip, using a variety of means including drones, gliders, and breaching crossings in the fence.
