Overview of Ukraine's ATACMS strikes on Kursk Region

The Ukrainian armed forces have delivered two strikes using Western-made long-range weapons on sites in the Kursk Region over the past three days, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
According to the ministry, the first ATACMS missiles were launched on November 23, targeting the positions of an S-400 anti-aircraft battalion in the Kursk Region. On November 25, Ukrainian troops used ATACMS missiles for the second time to deliver an attack on an airfield in Kursk.
Scale of attacks, response to them
- The Ukrainian armed forces have delivered two strikes using Western-made long-range missiles on sites in the Kursk Region over the past three days.
- According to the Russian Defense Ministry, ATACMS operational/tactical missiles of US manufacture were used in the strikes.
- The ministry said it has the situation under control and is preparing to retaliate.
Strike against S-400 anti-aircraft battalion
- The first strike, when five US ATACMS missiles were fired at the positions of an S-400 anti-aircraft battalion, was carried out on November 23 in the area of the settlement of Lotarevka (23 miles northwest of Kursk).
- The Pantsir anti-aircraft missile system providing cover for the battalion destroyed three of the ATACMS missiles. Two missiles reached their targets.
- A radar station was damaged and several servicemen were injured in the strike.
Attack against airfield in Kursk
- Ukrainian troops delivered their second blow on the Kursk Region on November 25, firing eight ATACMS missiles at the Kursk-Vostochny airfield.
- Seven of them were intercepted by S-400 and Pantsir systems, while one hit its target.
- Two servicemen received minor injuries from missile fragments.
- Infrastructure facilities were slightly damaged.
