Israel’s ground forces are expanding operations in the Gaza Strip, Spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Daniel Hagari said on Friday.

"In recent hours we have intensified attacks in Gaza. The Air Force attacks underground targets and terrorist infrastructure extensively. Continuing the offensive actions we have carried out in recent days, the Army is expanding ground operations this evening." he told a briefing.

According to Hagari, earlier in the day, the IDF revealed intelligence data indicating that the Palestinian terrorist movement Hamas is using the Al-Shifa hospital in the Gaza Strip for its purposes.

"We told the world about it and will continue to do so. We continue delivering strikes on the city of Gaza and its environs and are calling on the city residents to evacuate to the southern parts of the Gaza Strip," he said.

This comes after a series of information and accusations, with Hamas being accused of refusing to release the hostages. This is surprising considering the Palestinians' statement yesterday about their willingness to cease fire in exchange for the release of prisoners. Both Palestinian and Israeli sources are blaming each other for the breakdown of negotiations, making it difficult to ascertain the truth. So far, the conflict has resulted in the deaths and injuries of over 8,000 Israelis and 28,000 Palestinians. By morning, these numbers could easily rise to 10,000 and 35,000, respectively.

The Israeli army expands the scope of ground maneuvers in the Gaza Strip According to an exact quote from IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari at a press briefing, the Israeli army is expanding the scope of ground maneuvers in the Gaza Strip:

According to the IDF spokesman, the Israeli army is acting powerfully in all dimensions to achieve the goals of the war.
